it still has the factory alarm. just disarm it when it goes off by putting the key in the trunk keyhole and turn it. if i remember correctly, the factory alarm is wired into the ecu, so a shop might make it worse.

I don't want to get stuck anywhere again, last week when it wouldn't start, I tired the key in the trunk and nothing. Yesterday I went to open my door and the alarm went off, first time I've seen the alarm go off, it was weird and then was able to disarm it with key in the truck

It disarms from driver door only, I also have factory alarms with aftermarket alarms on both my dsms... That's one way to turn off the factory alarm from driver door.

Its been disconected from the driverside door, only the truck disarms it right now, if I lock the car by hand inside the car the alarm arms but if I lock it with key it doesn't arm
