Whats up everyone my name is Jesse, i own a 1990 Eclipse GSX. Been having it for 5 Months now and its been hell..lol
she was sitting for 8 years i was told, non running got it for $1000 with 50k on her. it has everything original also has the oem mudflaps :) paint is super duper faded, but lets say the inside after a good detailing it looks damn new .. As for the maintenance got a new transmission old one was cracked, new act2600 clutch + flywheel, delete vacuum lines. Also had a bad ecu so i bought a 1991 Galant Vr4 ecu eprom and worked good after switching pin 6 and 14. Few days later after getting it fixed lost compression on cly 1. Had a lot of oil over my valve cover/ engine bay i was told i had a bad piston ring, then also might be a head gasket kinda off on what i should do right now. What would you guys recommend? for now i just want to have her running stock get a new paint job and leave it OEM.

Welcome to the site. As far as what you should do to repair the car, I would say do a wet compression test to see if it is the rings. The next step no matter what the results of that are is to pull the head. If the rings are fine then you can leave the block alone and focus on inspecting the valves and valve stem seals and putting a new head gasket on. If the car is driveable and you want a second opinion bring it by one of the Monday night meets and have a bunch of DSM guys look it over.

Thanks, yea he was parting it out got it before he sold a few more parts. It has a bad transmission, needs a turbo set up, injectors, fuel pump, radiator, intake, and suspension .. I might be forgetting something. First thing on the list I wanna get done is the transmission plus get dsmlink.

^^Yea :), Well haven't got much done but re-touch up the intercooler,pipes put it back on. Just picked up a hx35 7 blade from Chris, little by little been trying to get the parts together want to get it done right.
