Well I just priced out everything for my build to get me up to about 400 crank hp. and it came out to 2357.75 without shipping or tax. And that's everything from pistons and rods to gaskets and supporting mods. I think that's a pretty good price for everything that I need. And it works out perfectly because I'll be getting around 2700 this semester from FAFSA. Pretty sweet. I'm really excited about the build and will post up pics when I finally get the money and get around to it.

Sounds like you need to diagnose the car properly before spending all your money on unnecessary items. If you do need a rebuild, i personally love the evo/1g rod setup since it is a great bang for your buck (assuming you can find the pistons for cheap). If you can take a drive over to norwalk one of these days for our monday night meet.
