 LSD/Tranny ?
Does anyone know if a Quaife LSD for a 2g GST, will fit in a 4g64 tranny for a galant or spyder?

Mitsu part numbers are different for the diffs. Pretty sure they are different.

 Re: LSD/Tranny ?
The reason why I asked is my transmission blew up. Our transmissions are quite expensive. Jacks and all other tranny builders use the stock gears in their builds. I can't justify dropping 3 grand on a transmission to just blow it up. These galant/spyder transmissions are so cheap and easily found they are pretty much disposable.

 Re: LSD/Tranny ?
+1. The money you fork out is to upgrade a lot of the little things that *do* fail in our transmissions like diffs and synchros and sometimes shift forks. FYI, you *can* get Evo III gears at all 3 builders I believe. Those are bigger and stronger than the stock gears, but their size limits you from being able to run the bigger synchros. The biggest benefit for AWD guys is upgrading the center diff to a 4 spider gear setup. I dropped about $2k on my Jack's trans ($3k if you include the quaife LSD front diff I had him put in), and even with my ongoing clutch problems (poor disengagement for a long time, and now a warped flywheel) the trans has taken all the abuse I've thrown at it. My car doesn't put large HP #s on the dyno, but it has a good amount of torque and I've beat the shit out of it at AutoX and canyons.

 Re: LSD/Tranny ?
I got my tranny rebuild at jacks. I beat the crap out of it at the drags, with slicks, any one of these guys can testify on how I launch it. Cant get 1.7 60ft babying it.
I paid 1800 since I needed a new 4th gear, and I already had a KAZZ LSD sitting here.
LSD is diffently the greatest Mod I've done. Being able to actually put the power down feels great.
