I can get both axles out in 20 mins. Don't see why its hard.
Wheels, big axle nut, 5X 14mm subframe plate/brace, lower control arm to subframe 17mm bolt, shock fork to lower control arm 17mm bolt, 14mm sway bar end link nut, leave the key in the ignition so the wheel can turn. This will allow the knuckle to turn 120 degrees out allowing the splines to slide out of the hub, and then pop em out of the tranny. Done. Never had to disconnect a ball joint.
It really sucks if everything is rusted together.

alot of people remove the ball joints when is not necccesarry at all.They think it makes it easier but is more work.i agree with sam 20 minutes and out for me is 30 cuz i need10 minutes to smoke up my dank.Can't work on my DSM sober

I just drink while I work. Get progressively less sober as I go. Keeps me from over working, eventually I'll pass out under the car.

My driver side axle, POS won't come out even after breaking a big screwdriver, bending a prybar and taking a chisel to it

at first the auto to manual swap wasnt so bad but after the third time with having to put the trans on i officially will say anything that has to do with that swap sucks!
