Post RX7 680cc injectors
me an one of my friends were hearing a lot of talk about these injectors, but not a whole lot of solid info on them. Lucky for me, my friends dad has 4 of these old RX7's that have the larger injectors. They're only found on the first generation 84-85 GSL-SE models with the 13b engine. They will have the ORANGE tops if they are the 680's. The impedance is the same so you don't need to add a resistor pack or do anything with that. I pulled off 6 of them off of non running cars and sent them to a shop to be cleaned. They charge about $14 per injector and replace anything that needs it. Awesome communication and shipping also.

so any way the print out shows that they actually flowed 780-800 cc/min at 43.5 psi, which makes them even bigger than I expected. But this was ok since I have DSMLink, but my friend was saying that it could be a problem for SAFC users.

I compared the stock injectors side by side with the "680's" and they seemed identical besides the cap on the 680's is a little longer. They still fit right into the fuel rail and the head just fine though. No modding is necessary to make them fit besides tuning for them. After I dialed them in using DSMLink, my settings were -40 global and 0 deadtime. This is off a bit since my AFPR broke  and I'm running the stock one for now. It is pretty rich at idle but the fuel trims are inline and only the lowest airflow slider is moved down to -1%.

Note that the below model year RX7 are direct drop in injectors for DSMs (low impedence and square plug):

84-85 13B N/T - 680cc Orange Top P/N 195500-0900
86-87 13B Turbo - 550cc Tan Top P/N 195500-1370
