aside from porting the oil relief hole in the oil filter housing and porting the oil port on the deck side of the head, there's another way to help lower oil pressure if it's still too high, as is the case with my 2g. when i overhauled my 6 bolt, i removed the balance shafts, ported the oil filter housing and the oil port on the head and still get high oil pressure. at idle im around 17-22 psi warm, which is ok, cruising at 3k rpm im around 65psi, and at wot i peg 100psi. i did some searching and came across a part number for a weaker relief spring that will help lower oil pressure.

so got around to installing the weaker oil pressure relief spring while i did an oil change.

as far as results go, my oil pressure did get lower by 10 psi, but still too high. looks like ill be pulling off my ofh to port the relief hole a little bigger. i guess i didnt port it enough when i did it the first time around. but the spring did work to lower oil pressure, i just need it to be lower.
