Ok guys i finally figured out what i want to do. I want to build a track car, I'm going to graduate from college in a couple of months and a lot of funds will be free since i'll also pay off my school loans.

any suggestions?
fwd or awd? i have both
motor build?
big turbo or small
suspension?

this car will strictly be a track car. so it will be gutted out.
my goal is to track by next year.
or should i get an ebo? i don't really want to buy a good working car just to strip it out and track it.

Drag? Road course? Autocross? Rally? Budget?

road course. budget is somewhat not of an issue since i'll be taking this whole year to build it. like i said i don't want to buy a perfectly good evo just to strip it out and track it. i think my 1g's will suffice.

I believe your frank is fine, you sure its tuned properly I mean with your size of injectors it should compensate for the what lag the turbo has necessarily?

Not to be a dick, but sounds like you need to do more research before even attempting to build a track only car. Dsmtuners.com has a whole section on nothin but suspension related threads. There you can find plenty of info on what works best for road course racing. The thing is that you have to actually read the threads.
I say you build your dsm slowly, get plenty of seat time at the track such as willow springs, learn your cars maneuverability, then go from there. You can build a superchingon track car with the best parts the market has to offer, but if you don't know how to handle your car, then it's pretty much pointless. Once you're comfortable enough and know the limits of your car, then you should start upgrading.
At least that's my opinion.

There's guidelines and regulations you must follow before you start slapping on parts.

And agreed with everyone else,doesn't sound like you know what you are doing.

Start off by driving your car stock,get the feel for it,learn how it will respond,etc beforeyou start modding it. Also,put into consideration that it takes a lot of brake pads,rotors,fluids,tires,reg fees,etc.so you need a decent budget to compete.
