I'm impatient and the didn't have the EVO in stock. I did port mine myself. Not that hard if you have a die grinder and porting bits.
The only plus I can see for the Big 16G over the EVO is that the exhaust side is made out of heavier material and is less prone to cracking but I don't know anyone personnaly who has cracked and EVO3 16G exhaust housing.
