(Alarms) Any opinions b4 I purchase one
I thought I'd ask around if remote starts work well with dsms or is there certain alarms I shouldn't get...
I just need something, even tho a few kill switches will probably do a better job to stop theives...
But mainly looking for a decent alarm with remote start so I can have the car turn on while I'm getting ready for work, instead of starting it last and waiting for operational temps... Which takes 5-10mins.
Also, do those paging alarms work? I don't kno anyone that has one

get one of the viper alarms pricey but damn worth it, i heard it will tell you from 1/2 for the cheaper or 1 mile away whether someone is trying to touch/steal your car.

if someones gonna steal or break into your car they will and an alarm wont stop them, just get a remote start/key-less entry and be done

Dsms aren't really targeted by thieves. Car thieves prefer to steal hondas, but thats not to say it won't happen. More than likely not though, especially if it looks bone stock like yours. When I had my integra, it was tampered with twice in less than 6 months. Once at school, and once right outside my house. After the second time I decided to get rid of it. none of my dsms have ever been messed with. (knocks on wood)

I see...
I was just planning ahead, the car only has liability (full coverage is over my budget) and if it was to ever get stolen, insurance wouldn't cover it... Lol
But like amskater said, if they want it, they can take it... Lol
I jus want some protection + remote start so I can have the car running while I get ready for work to save me time, instead of warming it up last minute.
I'll check out those simple key-less/remote start alarms...
Also, the car has previous oem security alarm issues... Where it would just go off for no reason. We no longer lock it to save future headaches and the battery. Is there a way to completly shut the security system off? So I can lock it again...
