ok, so there is no MPI or Fuel Pump fuse on the 2G eclipse... which is why I couldn't find the answer... lol there is, however, a MFI / Fuel pump relay, located behind the center console panel on the passenger side...

What is the reasoning behind cranking the engine before starting the car? I'm not opposed to it, but I've never heard that before. How is an oil change any different than parking the car overnight and starting it the next morning as far as oil pressure goes? Or does it relate to the oil filter not being primed?

It's to purge the turbo, minimizing the chance of dry starting it & fubar-ing the shaft bearings
