Post Cleaning Threads
Does anybody have a thread chaser that I can borrow so I can use it to clean out the thread holes in my block before I install my arp head studs. That way I can be sure that I'm getting a more accurate torque reading when I finally torque down the head. I don't want to use a tap for fear of it cutting the threads. I just need to clean them. If anybody does have one I can borrow I'd greatly appreciate it. I can leave something of equal value as collateral if u dont trust just lending it out.

Post Re: Cleaning Threads
the threads in the block should matter that much. You only tighten the studs down till the bottom out. The part that matters is the friction between the upper threads and the threads on the nut. Then also friction between the washer and the nut. But when actualy torqing the head down, the studs dont spin the the block.
