hey guys might be a noob question but im in need to a solid tune for my 99 gsx. So i was wondering if anyone around my area has a dsmlink that i could pay you to borrow? RRE is charging me 500 for a tune, and im only in high school. Help is very much appreciated |

What do you mean by borrow? Do you have dsmlink installed in your car? |

Well yeah this is why im asking, dont know to much about dsmlink. All i know its a tuning software. But my car is a 99 which mean my ECU is tunable with an eprom. So like could i just use the software without the chip? or do you need the in order to run dsmlink? |

Pretty much all the info you need is on ecmlink's site. Basically your 99 ecu is similar to the EVO's ecu and can be tuned via ecuflash/evoscan and a tactrix open port 2.0 flashing cable. Do a search on dsmtuners for "ceddy mods" to get more info on utilizing your 99 ecu to tune. Otherwise you're going to have to source a 95 eprom ecu, have it socketed and then purchase whichever ecmlink package works for you. There is really no way to "borrow" someone's ecmlink and I'm pretty sure that violates their EULA.
