 Helicoil?
Anyone have any experience with it? After the meet Thursday I decided I should go about fixing any possible exhaust leaks coming from the exhaust manifold. So today I had some free time and went ahead and pulled it back off. Well first thing I noticed was the gasket was shot. Luckily I had a new one lying around. When reinstalling though 2 bolts were crossthreaded/stripped and one would tighten but would free spin if I tried torquing it down. I know i'll have to drill and tap it for new threads for a larger diameter bolt, but was wondering if anyone has had any luck using helicoil and if so, is it as straight forward as it seems?

 Re: Helicoil?
its easy as long as you have half a brain, be sure to use motor oil on the tap when using it. when you drill the hole keep it a straight as you can, i have used Helicoil's several times.

 Re: Helicoil?
Its a pretty straight forward procedure, just remember to lubricate the tap when you get to that part. (broken taps are real fun to remove LOL)
