 Evo 8 trans Swapping out the clutch on the Evo and when I drained the oil on the trans it had quite a bit of metal shavings on the drain plug "magnetic", is this a normal thing? Or no? .. 1st time I've seen this cuz I know the drain plug on the dsm's aren't magnetic compared to the one on the evo, so any input would be great,..

Re: Evo 8 trans Metal in any oil isn't really normal. It also depends on the type of metal, one type would be better to find over the other.

Re: Evo 8 trans its normal to have some grease type "metal", dark colored. Its just normal bearing/gear wear. Large chunks you can actually feel like grains of salt, is bad. Silvery fluid is bad. Brass colored sparkles in fluid is normal syncro wear.
