High egt's from low timing may be part of it but after searching around Tuners it also just seems that it is a problem with that housing and how thin the material is there. I can tell you that now that I'm on 93 and my timing is back up on the stock table my turbine housing is glowing less after spirited runs.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. Wes, what did they do to repair it, just grinding or did they do some welding? I took mine to the reputable "Custom turbo rebuild" shop across from RRE and they laughed and said "get a new one". Okay, he wasn't that rude but he barely looked at it. Mine isn't even as warped. At this point I'm just going to grind back the thin walled part as far back to the cracks as I can.
