Im assuming since you just bought the car, you need it to pass smog. So deleteing the egr is outta the question at this point. But typically that plastic vac line running from the intake manifold to egr valve, cracks. If the egr is not working right check that line for cracks and then go from there. If it is cracked you can use the plastic hardline from a boost gauge kit to replace it. Or just normal vac line. Hope that helps.

edit: and your comment on the car stalling with the egr code. Tells me the egr valve is stuck open which will cause the car to act how it is. Im not to familiar with egr failure on these cars. But on the 240sx I had years ago it did the same thing and that was due to the egr being stuck open.

ok well i replace the hole egr stuff and it made a diff it idles kind off good and it stop trying to turn off and no more codes but when the car is cold or been off for a wile i turn it on and its good but when i push gas it stals and pops and dont want to go but then when car is warm up and been on for wile it dont do that and drives slow like it dont have power at all so idk what too do :( any more ideas? oh ya my gas filter is in the back and dont know how take it off any one can do it for some cash maybe its mest up or injectors and gas stuff is dirty?

ok i did the hole tune up in car conveter still good i change the tp sensor fuel filter was change but still car have po171 fuel lean and po300 multilble miss fires now i dont now what to go. some one told me it can be map sensor or cloolent sensor but idk any suggestions? need help
