 Re: Wes's 2.3l 6-bolt build
AAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHH, I'm at school working on senior design stuff and my car is so close to being done it is driving me crazy. All I need to do is solder one wire for the CAS harness, put my upper IC pipe on, put my battery in, and put on the intake and I can fire it up.
On a side note it is damn weird to have a clutch pedal that is so easy to push again.

 Re: Wes's 2.3l 6-bolt build
Still don't have a running car, the alternator that worked fine on my last engine decided to develop an internal short that blew the fuseable link. I just picked up a new alternator but won't have time to work on it until tomorrow.
I was able to turn the engine over a bunch of times to prime the oil system though. I was a little worried about the PTT flywheel working but it seams great.

 Re: Wes's 2.3l 6-bolt build
Well with my current set up the PTE5031 is real laggy doing tuning runs on the street. I see peak around 5k. Thats going from 2k-7k. I have logged about 39-40lbs/min on the 50 trim. Still have alot of tuning to do since i just converted to SD E85.

 Re: Wes's 2.3l 6-bolt build
She is alive again. I got it running this afternoon and I put a little over 80 miles of easy driving on it. Those FP4R cams idle a bit rough especially with the solid motor mounts. The PTT twin disk is surprisingly easy to drive.

I'm going to break it in for about 500 miles then we will see what it can do.

 Re: Wes's 2.3l 6-bolt build
Thanks for posting up those in progress pics Doug. I will take some pictures of the finished setup once the weather clears up a bit. So far I'm loving having the car back and the only drive-ability issue I have is that when the car is cold it really doesn't like to keep idling when I push in the clutch. It isn't to bad I just have to let the car warm up a bit before getting on the road.
