Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. The engine came apart today and it is a bit disappointing. I will not be able to repair the car before I leave on Sat. as just honing it and putting in the new pistons would probably result in another failure. In addition to piston 2 being toasted all 4 cylinder walls are pretty glazed and 1 and 2 are both scored. The block needs to be pulled from the car and possibly replaced. If I use this block I think it may have to be re-machined to go larger than 20 over. Here are some pictures of the death of piston #2. Cell phone so quality is low.    Thanks to Sam for coming over and making the job go by twice as fast.

(where i park my raider truck) It's not too bad where i live plus I have a very mean looking aggressive german shepherd that keeps all the knuckle heads away. Just get a car cover on that puppy. Plus my house is right by yours.

Re: Wes's Car finally acting like a DSM. At least my crank looks good and the bearings came out looking good. The oil squirter for cylinder 3 was broken off and sitting in the pan though.
In October I will have to measure everything and see if I can rock some 40 over pistons or just get a new block.
