You're right, I should've PMed. Good luck with figuring out your engine problems, hope it's nothing serious.

Re: damage caused by a $7 oring
if the rod bearings are toast but the crank has no major scores in it or heat marks, you can mic the rod journals, and mic the crank journals, do the math and order a set of bearings. Throw em in and rock it.-

Re: damage caused by a $7 oring
so finally dropped the pan...small metallic dust and small shavings (no bigger that things left behind by an eraser) i started to inspect my bearings (2 3 and 4 so far) and the only one that looked to be damaged was my 3rd cylinders no heat marks or major scores on crankshaft but the bearing was not so lucky here is a snap of the #3 bearings ill remove #1 and inspect the bearings and post up the results number 2 and 4 are worn but not as bad as #3 they still look silver lol

Re: damage caused by a $7 oring
It looks pretty good like I said no heat marks or scores. I'm still trying to get a clear pic of it....and the shaft that's right there off to the side (not sure what it is manual doesn't show it) has play it gives out a clanking noise when I move it

Re: damage caused by a $7 oring
balance shaft. Probably a good time to do a BSE kit, bearings, and inspect the oil pump while its off for the BSE. get the crank micropolished and get new main and rod bearings. Install it and check oil clearence with plasticgauge. If its good, make the the crank spins in the block freely (before you bolt rods to it). If thats good, bolt the rods to it and check oil clearance, and if its good, your good to go.
