Anyone know much about the T04b series turbos? How do they compare to the popular Holset and Garret setups? What's the spool like on them? What are the drawbacks? They're on sale at Turbo Trader right now. with a new turbo is tempting (minus oil feed/drain and wastegate setup of course).

Bear with me as I'm still learning my way around turbo upgrades. I'm still in love w/ the FP 30 series but its just to damn expensive and I'm looking into alternatives. Looking at putting together a holset, but open to other options.

Are you going for internal or external wastegate? To me, the FP series is a steal. If you look up pricing on even a PTE 50 RLE it comes close to the price of a 3052 when spec'ing it out with porting and such.

As for the 57Trim, I only know one person that has ran one and he's on here : blkturbogsx

But that guy Turboglenn on tuners isn't a very big fan of his. Actually he very much dislikes his.

PS: Don't even think about the FP3150, such a waste of money in my mind when the FP3052 is right there.
