Please no falming lol, under normal circumstances I would vote against using certain ebay items as their quality is sub standard.

However, the circumstances call for such a cheap item (cheap as in price, but not necessarily quality). Basically I'm broke lol, and I'm sure there are some members on the forum who can sypathize with me lol.

Anyway, on to the subject, has any body ever tried one of these afpr's from ebay?

I found out last night that my car has a 255lph fuel pump and, obviously, I don't have an afpr. So I'm kind of really in need of one cause I'm going through gas really quick.

So opinions please, wether negative, positive or indifferent.

If u have no other choice. Just try it 30 bucks can't be so bad. Being that u probably go thru the same 30 bucks worth of gas due to the 255. So just try it. if it works for a few days till you find a better one. Then it was worth it

I wouldn't trust this type of part to ebay. If i were you i would just spend those 30 bucks on an evo pump till you can afford a decent afr.

Get the turbonator to compensate for your excess fuel.

Don't buy no name fuel system products off Ebay. Either continue to overflow your stocker, downgrade fuel pumps or go balls out on a quality FPR. Don't learn a lesson that doesn't need to be learned.

IMO it looks like typical ebay knock off. For example: I bought a knock off hks ssqv well it lasted roughly 2 months seals were completely shot. Surprised it lasted that long then i bought the real thing. Another example... I bought an obx fuel pressure regulator just to try. Since id never tried an obx product before. And everyone seemed to hate them but i want to try them out. Car wouldn't start. So kept playing with the stupid thing and still nothing. Finally decided to call it quits and grab my aeromotive one from a buddys house. And sure enough when i took the stupid obx one apart it, it was completely destroyed. So my .02 is buy a genuine one and not look back. Myself I dont mind spending extra for piece of mind.

I wouldn't cheap out on something as important as a FPR. FMIC yes, IC pipes yes, headlights yes.
The FPR's job is not only to keep base fuel pressure at 43psi, it also raises fuel pressure 1:1 with boost pressure. If it fails and fuel pressure doesn't rise 1:1 with boost pressure, your car leans out. Taken you are broke, you probably don't have a wideband. Piston soup is a very delicate dish, extremely expensive and disappointing dish in two ways, 1, you have piston soup, 2, it doesn't taste very good. If you want to be cheap, buy a stock fuel pump off someone for 10 bucks, or a Evo fuel pump for 30 bucks.
I'm a broke ass myself, but I never condone to buying crap like this off ebay. The price tag might be small, but it's expensive for what you get. I'd rather support the real makers, those who did their R&D, and have the skills to make a superior product. There's smart cheap and not smart cheap.
I admit I have a few ebay things, but I did my homework before buying, and bought things that I know you can't get wrong. FMIC for one. Aluminum is aluminum, and a good weld is a good weld. Unless the welds look like bird shit, and a magnet sticks to the "aluminum", you can't really build a FMIC wrong.

I agree completely with what you said, there are some things you can and some you can't get from ebay, which is why I asked for the advice from some people I trust, somewhat lol.

I'm gonna skip on the afpr, and I'm gonna go with an evo pump, when I get back on the fuller side of my wallet ill invest in a real afpr.

Well I ended up getting an evo 9 fuel pump from a friend of mine, he upgraded is fuel pump to a 255lph and didn't need his orginal from his evo. Worked out pretty good for me.

So I installed it, I thought the install was pretty weird, it was almost like it was backwards from the wally. But I got it in there. Crushed my 1g bov, and now I'm just waiting for some rtv to dry before I test run it.

Oh and in order to get my afr in a decent range I had to adjust the maft gen 2 mainscale to -22.5 which is taking out a hell of a lot of fuel. So that just shows how rich I was running with that rewired 255.

Hopefully, the evo pump will work better until I need that 255.
