 wtborrow stock exhaust Hi,i need to borrow a stock exhaust system to pass a smog.One problem,i got a gvr4,im pretty sure 2g is out of the question,but maybe 1g exhaust will fit.Or somebody got a galant...I only have a stock downpipe with a cat.Please help.

Re: wtborrow stock exhaust as long as it is all stock from the turbo to the rear of the cat it will pass. anything after the cat has no effect on emissions any one that tells you other wise is lying. . or doesn't know what they are talking about...the cat does have to be stock OR a TWC 50state California legal replacement. for that car.

Re: wtborrow stock exhaust as far as Ive heard and read before the cat has to be stock, but after the cat you can mod, my car passed smog and reff with my greddy cat back

Re: wtborrow stock exhaust anything AFTER the cat is fine. . . piping is piping. . they can even test the car right at the cat with no piping. . all of the cats work, as far as emissions clean up, is done when the gases leave the cat. it doesnt matter after that. . i have just finished all my smog certificate, training, and update courses... just in case anyone wants to know where i get my information.
