This is a turbo off a 08 dodge ram. I was going to use it on my last car and then planned on using it on something else later. But plans have changed and i need to get rid of it. It is a vgt turbo which means the hotside is variable the guy on dsmtuners who did the math said it came out to starting at a .13ar and ending up at a 1.83 ar i believe. Now if someone is good with electronics you could get the factory box to control the hotside if you could figure out how to wire it in. Jeff believes he can get one of his chips to control it. Or use a internal wastegate plunger and control it with boost pressure. Which i have those parts. This turbo is massive and is capable of spooling fast and having great top end. I just dont have anything to put it on anymore. I paid $200 for it so thats what im asking for but literally i dont have any use for it so make an offer on it and get it outta here.

Comes with the turbo, wastegate plunger, 2 02 housings, 2 electronic control boxs.

And im more than happy to help someone get this on their car and share the knowledge i have about doing this project.

hmm... highly interested... do you have pictures of the internal wastegate mechanism. i want to see if i can rig it up see if i make it run external WG. thanks

The way this turbo was explained to me was imagine the top end of a 37R with the spool up of a 16g. The vgt starts off closed creating a smaller surface area on the exhaust wheel. And slowly opens up creating a large surface area. So you have great bottom end without loosing anything on the top end. The reason why dodge is pulling these turbos off constantly is the deisel trucks create so much soot/carbon build up the vgt gets stuck. So warranty tells the mechanic to just replace the turbo. Well if they had half a brain they would pull it off and clean it. Instead of paying holset a 1k a pop. This turbo doesnt have a stickin issue at all fyi. Now when the first couple ppl started using this turbo another concern was the heat from a gas engine that this turbo wouldnt take it. Well so far no one has had any issues. There are a few threads over on dsmtuners about this turbo. The other vgt turbo i know of is made by garrett and is on the new superdutys but my understanding is the wheel doesnt close far enough to still have good low end. And i dont recall anyone being able to get a internal wastegate plunger to be able to control the vgt on it.
