1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Turbo. 97k miles. Everything on the car is stock and in mint condition, except for a Apexi Blow off valve. The Only problem with the car is that it has a bad piston ring on cylinder #4. I bought the car about 2 weeks ago from some guy in santa monica, he seemed like a good guy and i made the mistake of trusting him. He told me he had the car filled with oil, so i thought everything with the car was fine. what i didnt realize was that he had broken the engine oil dipstick so i couldnt check, and since the car had no oil in it it wasnt gunna really show any of the problems that it had. i bought the car from the guy and drove it home, the next day i pulled out the dipstick that was in all the way and broken lol and i saw the car had No oil at all, so i put some oil in the car and saw that after a while it started smoking. i thought that maybe it was a blown head or a bad turbo, i checked the turbo and the turbo was fine and also checked and saw it had water and wasnt leaking. so i did a compression check, and i saw that on the first 3 cylinders it had perfect compression, about 175 and on the last one it came out 90. so i put some oil in that cylinder and i did the test again, this time i saw that it held at 170 so from that i realized that the car has a bad piston ring. the thing is that the engine sounds normal and drives fine. I honestly have no money to fix this car and i actually borrowed the money to buy it before all from my brother. im asking 3000 and am negotiable, im already taking a big financial hit by going this low, im just trying to get some of my money back. The problem is not noticeble and the car runs and drives fine, call for more details 949 266 7745
