97 GST Spyder

Passed Smog 1/13/2011 (I smogged it before I removed the cat)
Tagged until 7/2011

180k on Odo.

>30k on motor rebuild, new head. (broke TB) All work was done professionally, I have reciepts from 2008. (about $2k)

>30k on new transmission. Same pro install, with reciepts, ($1700+) Also done in 2008.

These were all done by previous owner, apparently he could afford to have all this work professionally done.

5-speed - Clutch has good resistance, but needs adjustment, takes a lil effort to go into 1st & 2nd, will grind if you dont depress clutch all the way. (Best case senerio, clutch adjustment, new tranny oil. Worse case bad syncros) I will be putting in redline tranny oil once my tax return comes in. Ill update the results.

4g63 - starts and idles smooth, has lifter tick until warmed up. no overheating, no oil leaks, some seepage on pan but never a drop on the driveway. Motor mounts are going out, another "tax return" fix in the planning.

*New Redtop optima (not in photo) and newer starter, (last one burnt from spilling PS fluid on it, from previous owner, I wouldnt buy unless he bought a new starter)

T-25 Turbo - No shaft play AT ALL. might have been replaced, looks clean.

Had a powersteering leak by the passanger wheel, the R&P boot is ripped, I have new OEM replacements boots (2) needs install. I fixed the leak, but havent replaced the boot. PS works fine, no squels.

Exhaust - Stock DP, 3" SS Str8 pipe, 3" catback with resonator. Unknown make (previous owner claims it is HKS?) came with car, newer, looks solid, no rust. sounds clean. I have the origional Cat to go with the car, I installed the str8 pipe.

China BoV or Stock 2g BoV. GST came with the China Bov, I have the stock one from my last GST. Take what you want.

Xenon HIDs with 4 ballasts. Currently running 3k (yellows) fogs and 10k (Blueish) lows. still running stock highs.

18" Image rims in good shape, no rub. couple nicks and scratches, nothing noticeable. 235/40 Achilles tires, about 1500 miles on them so far. Still look new.

Interior - Good shape, little wear, Tan leather. center console is all there but loose from being removed so many times, apparently losing bolts every time. No cracks on the dash. Power windows work. Heat and A/C work great.

Exterior - paint is rough, all stock, never been in an accident. front bumper has been molested. has a NEW vinyl tan top with glass and defroster. The power top is inop, its manual now. Wont leak in the rain, but will leak with a high power spray wash.

Sounds - Jenson double din indash, touchscreen, CD/DVD is broke. Has Ipod hookup, SD card slot for music, vid or photos, AM/FM. also hookups for Navi, XM, rearview camera, HD TV. Ive only ever used Ipod/SD so never bothered with the DVD player. Also have a 1000w amp with 2 12" subs in a box, in the trunk. Sounds good but total overkill, rattles the fvck out of the trunk, take em or leave em I dont care.

Price - I posted it for sale on CL for $4k, knowing id be talked down. I was offered $2500 a few times, but passed. I want atleast $3500 since the motor and tranny have less then 30k on them, with reciepts and not a garage job.

I will also trade for a 95+ GSX 5-speed in like condition. pref with Eprom ECU and DSMlink, mods, and a 16g since thats the path I plan to take.
