 FS: 90 Laser Turbo ($1000 firm) Hey guys, I'm selling my 1990 Laser turbo in its current condition.There are several problems with it
Cons:
Mechanical:
Oil leak coming from oil filter side. I was looking at dsmtuners and it could be a number of things. Its not a major leak cause I change the oil every 2000 miles and it would only be 3/4 down on the dip stick.
No Power steering, the power steering rack leaks, but the pump works so if you REALLY need it, just put a belt back on and you got power steering, but you will have a leaking steering rack again.
Boost leak, The intercooler piping is almost 20 years old.
Cosmetics and Interior:
Cracking windshield
Interior was all jacked up as is when I got the car from 4grider. Its a 5-10 because some of the panels are loose inside the car and the drivers window doesn't roll down.
The gear shift lever is loose because of missing bushings
The ceiling canvas is gone, it kept drooping and I just had to rip it off.
Overall the car is just getting old and I don’t have time to fix EVERY single little thing on the car. I’m a full time college student and I work full time. Also, my family has 8 cars including my truck and my Laser and I just recently acquired a motor cycle. So basically I have no room for it. I’ve done the timing belt a year and half ago and the ECU got new caps. The turbo is strong on the car, but the boost leak really kills power right after 5-6K. So basically I’ve been driving the car as a non turbo because I don’t go past 5K. It has a turbo back exhaust with no cat but I have the stock exhaust with the cat. I just saw zawed it to remove it. The car has adjustable AGX struts with lowering Goldline springs that give the car a stiff ride but very controlling. It has a new starter and battery too. The tires are about 2 years old and have a Free life of tire replacement plant from America tire co. There is a bunch of little stuff but the car has provided me transportation for 2 years strong with never letting me down. Its registered til June and it needs to be smogged. I was planning to PNO the car but we have to parking space and our neighbors think it decreases their property value. (My neighbors are pricks) I’ve driven this car to Fresno and back for about a year and it gets about 25 miles to the gallon and 20 in the city and a full tank will give me about 400 miles.
