Re: 92 GST w/JDM 4G63 Motor
I think your e-mail address is going to hurt your chance of sale. Also there is no such thing as a stronger JDM 6 or 7 bolt. The blocks are all the same so all the same strengths and weaknesses exist.

Re: 92 GST w/JDM 4G63 Motor
Just to clear up a few things, no lancer evo ever came with a 6bolt motor. The usual jaydum evo motors out here are the exact same specs as the 2g eclipse 7 bolt motors with the exception of the evo 3 which has a 9:1 compression compared to the rest which have 8.5:1. 6 bolts from japan came over and were taken out of galants or mini vans. Vr4 engines come in different flavors but all standard spec 6 bolts with the exceptions of variants in turbos, injectors, and intake manifolds (vr4rs comes with 510cc injectors, 16g's and non cyclone intake manifolds, all other vr4's even autos came with 450's cylone intake manifolds and 14b's).
Not trying to bash you, just don't like false information on this forum.

Re: 92 GST w/JDM 4G63 Motor
alright i changed some things and the jdm part im going off what someone told me. I am new to the dsm world and just wanna get rid of the car. My loss is someone else's project car. I'm only asking a grand which is less than the motor alone.

Re: 92 GST w/JDM 4G63 Motor
this isn't a honda. Mitsu didn't make a JDM better version of everything. Only difference about the JDM counterpart worth mentioning is lack of EGR and that sticker that no one can read. Other than that, it's the same thing. Mitsubishi wasn't retarded like Honda was and made a de-tuned version of everthing, its was all the same. Only JDM 6bolt is out of a Galant, all the Evo's had a 7bolt motor.

Re: 92 GST w/JDM 4G63 Motor
Ummm....Actually his motor was from a galant Gvr4-rs and yes it is a little different from the us 6-bolt engine...for one it comes with 63dtr pistons, different cam profiles, Bigger injectors and big 16g turbo, which put out 240hp. Everything else was the same. Ive had a couple of these motors and both the compression was 180 across the board.

Re: 92 GST w/JDM 4G63 Motor
If you want to get technical the 63dtr pistons did come in the gvr4rs and the only difference between those and standard 63dt pistons is minimal and doesn't change the fact that they are cast not forged. Also cam profiles vary greatly in the 4g63 crowd as you might know IE 90's cams and 91+ etc. So that does not mean its a "stronger". Like i said not bashing, just don't like false information on this forum. And @ blkturbogsx is that why you call into the shop asking questions on a regular basis? And to the OP good luck on the sale.

Re: 92 GST w/JDM 4G63 Motor
well thanks for the good luck part, but I would really like to keep this car cuz I know it has high potential, but no one will come out and help me out besides blkturbogsx. Anyone wanna come help out a new dsm'er that would be great. I will even pay for your gas to come out here. Everyone can talk on a forum, but won't come out and help in person.
